Based on the results of the study, two problems can be identified, namely 1) Lack of Learning Facilities and Infrastructure, where in social studies learning in class VII MTsN 1 Pariaman City there is a lack of existing learning support facilities. This makes it an obstacle when the teacher explains material that requires learning support media such as pictures and videos. The lack of media in the classroom, such as Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Projectors that are often used are only teaching materials or books and student worksheets, so learning is not interesting; and 2) Less Varied Learning Methods, where the method most often used by social studies teachers in MTsN 1 Pariaman City in social studies learning is the lecture method. due to a lack of books. Teachers are currently facing challenges in implementing the curriculum for autonomous learning. The application of progressivism ideology to the concept of an independent learning curriculum is one possible answer to this problem. This study aims to investigate curricula for independent learning from a progressivist perspective. The library research method, which employs a philosophical hermeneutic approach and includes elements of description, interpretation, and comparison through reference studies related to the problem's theme, is the technique employed in this qualitative study in order to gain a thorough understanding of the findings. Content analysis is the method employed to examine and discover support for the notion demonstrating how the curriculum idea is separate from progressivism's philosophical tenets. A number of learning principles are extensively emphasized by progressivism, including: 1) the idea that students should be at the center of the educational process from the beginning to the conclusion; 2) Students act as engaged members of society; 3) the role of the instructor as a facilitator, offering guidance and instructions; 4) educational establishments aim to create a cooperative and democratic environment; and 5) students need to concentrate on problem solving rather than merely learning material. In opposition to progressivism's philosophical tenets, the Free Learning Curriculum aims to enhance Indonesia's human resource base, particularly during the industrial revolution 4.0.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ijeds.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/IJEDS/article/view/471 The Influence of School Administration for Educational Institutions at VHS 15 Merangin 2024-02-15T19:53:28+00:00 Yahya Yahya yahya_tambunan@yahoo.com Ifna Nifriza ifnanifriza87@gmail.com Diana Wulandari diana79wulandari@gmail.com
Schools are integrated educational institutions, where there are supporting components within an institution, this is school administration and this cannot be separated from competent personnel who can handle this matter, so to handle administration in a school institution, competent personnel are needed according to their expertise. This research aims to determine the influence of school administration services on Vocational High School (VHS) 15 Merangin students, to determine the influence of teacher administration services on VHS 15 Merangin students, and the influence of administration on the VHS 15 Merangin institution itself. In this research, researchers used quantitative research methods, with instrument testing taking place at VHS 15 Merangin. The sample used was 34 students. Data collection through questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The results of the research showed that there was a good influence of school administration services on students, namely 25 students (73.5%), and the remaining 9 students (26.5%) were influenced by other factors. There is a positive influence of teacher administrative services on students, namely 27 students (79.4%), and the remaining 7 students (20.6%) are influenced by other factors.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ijeds.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/IJEDS/article/view/460 Development of Problem-based Learning LKPD to Improve Student Understanding 2024-04-14T07:31:13+00:00 Putri Wahyuni psahyuni243@gmail.com Yurni Suasti yurnisuasti@fis.unp.ac.id Erna wati ernawati@fis.unp.ac.id
Textbooks are a vital component in the educational process, serving as essential teaching materials that aid students in achieving learning objectives and competency standards. Teachers face challenges in choosing and determining appropriate learning models, but teaching materials offer solutions to address classroom issues. These materials can be sourced from personal experience, expert opinions, colleagues, books, mass media, the internet, and more. Teaching materials facilitate students' engagement with real-life facts and experiences, enabling them to assess and develop ideas, solve problems, acquire skills, and nurture creativity. Teaching materials encompass a wide range of formats, including printed resources (such as workbooks, modules, and learning comics), audio resources (such as sound recordings), audio-visual resources (such as educational videos and cartoons), and interactive materials (such as e-workbooks and web-based resources). The success of the learning process hinges on the careful selection and development of suitable teaching materials. This development is part of scientific research aimed at creating or improving products with practical value. Nana Syaodih Sukmadinata supports this perspective, emphasizing that research and development involve steps to create new products or enhance existing ones. In summary, teaching materials play a crucial role in educational success by providing students with valuable experiences and supporting the curriculum effectively.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
